A fun and exciting community-spirited fundraising event, featuring unique, interesting & unusual experiences and items for you to bid on, raffle prizes and entertainment, all to raise money for Radiant Mama, supporting expectant and new parents in the South West.
On Thursday 12th November at the Green Table Cafe on the Dartington Estate, 150 people will gather to bid on unique, interesting and unusual things. A weekend away, a masterclass, an experience, a promise.
Every promise in the room will have come from a community champion. A person or business who wanted to be part of this. We're aiming to raise £6,000 to fund 3 vital Radiant Mama services that support expectant and new parents: counselling and therapeutic support, a feeding support group, and a monthly gathering for lone parents to batch-cook together.
Meet our compere: Jackie Juno. Jackie is a familiar face on the southwest poetry scene. She runs, hosts and comperes many events, from open mic nights to festival stages and public ceremonies. Her material, though often funny and witty, can also be tender, sensuous and confessional.
She has won many poetry slams (including the Glastonbury Festival Poetry Slam twice - 2017 and 2024), has done two TEDx Talks, been chaired Bard and Grand Bard of Exeter for 8 years combined, and has hosted cabarets and poetry nights in various towns in Devon for decades.
Entertainment from Ceri Baker, Grand Bard of Exeter, jumps straight into the poetry of messy life chaos with humour, and ‘irreverent reverence’. She writes and performs poems that invite people to connect to their own life’s joy, grief, and everything in between. She writes on themes of mother, woman, neurodiversity, grief, transformation, nature, and frequently the water and salt that connects us all.

How It Works

When you book your free ticket, you will automatically be assigned a bidding number.

When you arrive at the event, please check in with your ticket - you will then receive your number.
- You are not obliged to bid on anything (of course, we're hoping that you get excited and inspired to), this is just so we know who's bidding, and to make the process smoother on the night.

Promises will be auctioned live on the night, called out by our compere.

Can't join us on the night? You can still bid on selected auction lots from wherever you are. Look for the BID FROM ANYWHERE symbol throughout the catalogue. Register your maximum bid in advance and one of our proxy bidders will bid for you in the room. The highest accepted bid is binding.

Redemption will usually be between you and the promise provider. We will put you in touch wit them, and you will agree the timings and details together, generally within the following 12 months, unless specified otherwise.

If a promise can't be fulfilled as described (should dates fall through or circumstances change), we'll work with the promise provider to agree a fair alternative or a refund.

Raffle tickets and prizes will be sold on the night and drawn during the event.
