Radiant Mama Group
Are you pregnant or a new mama with baby in arms?
Join us and other like minded mamas for some TLC (a head, shoulder, foot or back massage, a cup of tea and a yummy snack) and to look at ways to bring more resourcefulness and wellbeing into your life and the life of your family. We also offer a sharing circle, breastfeeding support, general advice and helpful information. All on a donation basis.
Totnes Pregnancy & Birth Group
This group is held by three mothers including a doula and a midwife, and has been running since 2013. We welcome women at any stage of pregnancy, as well as their partners if they would like to come. Together we explore the emotional and physical aspects of birth, with different topics each meeting. We offer a warm welcome and a space to share ideas and support, as well as offering information.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 7 – 9pm at the Daisy Family Centre, Pathfields, Totnes TQ9 5TZ, in the grounds of St John’s primary school. The group is run on a donation basis.
Pregnancy Circle Totnes

This is a friendly, welcoming group and offers a space for women to share their hopes and fears, to listen to one another and explore their feelings about pregnancy and birth. Sharing in this way with other pregnant women is an important part of the journey towards motherhood, as it can be very resourcing when going through this huge transformation. Sarah is a local birth and postnatal doula offers this group fortnightly from 7 – 9pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in Totnes. The cost is £7/ £5 concession.
Pregnancy Circle Dartington
This is a new combined pregnancy yoga and sharing circle happening on Friday mornings at Bowden House, just outside Totnes, with Joy Prater leading the yoga and Olivia facilitating the sharing circle.
We will start the session with yoga at 9.45am until 10.30am. After a short break for refreshments, there will be an opportunity to connect with other expectant mums and explore together how to deepen our connection to ourselves and our babies and increase our resilience and joy during our pregnancy.

These classes combine postnatal strengthening for mum, hip & shoulder opening practices, lifts, carries and holds for baby. There are fun interactive exercises for both. The sessions will include plenty of time for feeding, changing, breathing & relaxation. The class can boost energy, relieve stress and anxiety. Promotes relaxation and restful sleep, helping healing after labour & childbirth, to manage the physical stresses of motherhood and relieve common ailments e.g. back pain, shoulder, breast & neck ache. The class gives time to connect with one’s baby and other mums. Babies circulatory, respiratory as well as digestive systems are boosted, helping to relieve constipation, colic and irritability.
